Marty Baker is the founding and lead pastor of Stevens Creek Church in Augusta. He holds degrees from Lee University, Samford University and Erskine Theological Seminary. Under his leadership, the church has grown from a small group meeting in a home in 1987, to a congregation of approximately 2100. Marty has a deep appreciation for the southern culture (reared in Abbeville, South Carolina); college athletics (especially the USC Gamecocks); and a great passion to communicate Biblical truths in a creative way people can understand. In 2005, Marty realized few people carry cash or a checkbook, so he developed the concept of kiosk giving. Stevens Creek Church responded so well to the kiosks, that Dr. Baker and his wife, Patty, decided to make the same, safe convenience available to organizations all over the country through their company, SecureGive. They reside in North Augusta, South Carolina, and enjoy spending time with their adult children and two young grandchildren.
On-Line Giving: Recent Developments from a Panel of Real Experts!
Does your church offer options for giving on-line? Kiosk giving? Are there real benefits to offering electronic-giving services to your congregation? What does your church need to provide in order for your members to give on-line? Can these services be offered affordably? How can small and medium-size churches benefit? Join us for an expert panel discussion with Q & A time. Experts Marty Baker, founder of Secure Give; and Dave Anderson, the Church Giving Coach, bring a wealth of knowledge on this topic. Your host facilitator is Scott Preissler of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
