Keynote: Micah Fries

Micah Fries is the senior pastor of Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has earned a master of divinity degree and a bachelor of arts in theology degree. After graduating from college, Micah and his wife, Tracy, began church-planting in Burkina Faso, West Africa; but they eventually returned to the United States for him to attend seminary. He has served as the vice president of LifeWay Research in Nashville, Tennessee; the president of the Missouri Baptist Convention Pastors’ Conference; and as a second vice president of the Missouri Baptist Convention. Micah has also pastored Missouri Valley Baptist Church in Halls, Missouri, followed by Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. He is currently studying to receive a Ph.D. in North American Missiology. Author of the Christ-Centered Commentary Series, Micah is also contributing and co-editing, with Dr. Keith Whitfield on a book about ministering to North American Muslims, for B&H Academic. Cliff Duren

Worship Leader: Cliff Duren

Cliff Duren is the music and worship minister at Station Hill Church in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Originally from Georgia, Cliff graduated from Shorter University with a music education degree and from Lee University with a master’s degree in Church Music. Before coming to Brentwood in 2012, he served as the staff arranger at First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia. During that time, he was nominated for five Dove Awards. He also arranges, orchestrates, and produces music resources for various publishers. [more]

Keith Boggs is the founder of REAL MOMENTUM Ministries, where he uses his professional background in marketing and development, along with his pastoral ministry experience, to serve as a missionary to men. Burdened to transform families and churches to the ends of the earth, Keith leads REAL MOMENTUM with a regional mission strategy to help men succeed. He focuses on producing strategic mission partnerships in men’s ministry coaching, conferences, and content with regional directors in the mid-west and southeast regions of the United States and Dominican Republic. Keith and his wife, Nichole, have been married for 19 years and have nine children. Steve Bowersox

Steve Bowersox

Steve Bowersox is the founding executive director of Integrity Music’s Worship International, and he now serves as executive pastor of worship for First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition, Steve is an adjunct professor at the University of Mobile and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, teaching Worship Leadership and Technology. He is the founder and president of the Bowersox Institute of Music, and also Worship 1st, a non-profit organizations dedicated to the development of the musician in worship. He has been an instructor and musician with the seminar’s four worship conferences, Integrity’s Institute of Worship studies, Maranatha! Worship Leaders workshops, and Lillenas Music conferences. Steve holds degrees in music, education, business and ministry. He has authored the books Worship Musician’s Theory Course, Vocal Aerobics: A Fitness Program for Your Voice, ‘MIDI’anites Redeemed, and The Worship Leaders Survival Kit. His diverse musical abilities and expertise have afforded him valuable experience as a producer, arranger, worship leader, and studio musician. Jason Britt has been the lead pastor of Bethlehem Church in Bethlehem, Georgia since 2011. He has a background in student ministry as a student pastor, college pastor, and featured speaker at camps and conferences across the country. In 2016, Bethlehem Church was recognized in Outreach Magazine as one of the fastest growing churches in America. Jason and his wife, Nan, have been married for 15 years and are the proud parents of Carson, Claire, and Caleb. Bill Emeott

Bill Emeott joined the team at LifeWay in January of 2003, after serving as a kid’s minister for 14 years in Metro Atlanta. As lead specialist, he works with the LifeWay Kids Team to develop and communicate LifeWay’s resources for childhood ministry, through leadership training and events. Bill is a member of First Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, where he teaches The Gospel Project to preteens on Sunday morning and Children’s Bible Drill on Sunday night. [more]

As president of Highland Financial Planning Consultants in Cleveland, Ohio, Randy has over 25 years of financial advising, business consulting, and wealth management experience. He works with clients to create strategies and plans to maximize tax-efficiency and enhance family values and dynamics, while minimizing confusion and liabilities. Prior to joining Highland, Randy was a principal of a wealth advisory firm and in the private client group of a large national bank. Randy has helped create over $1 billion of additional resources to both families and charities, while enhancing the preservation of family businesses, family wealth, and family relationships. He has served and counseled with world, national, and local non-profit organizations, and has authored articles on business succession, charitable planning, and stewardship. He holds a master in business administration in finance degree from the University of Akron. Kelly King

Kelly King is the women’s ministry specialist for LifeWay Christian Resources. She is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, and is currently pursuing a master of theology degree from Gateway Seminary. She previously served as the women’s missions and ministries specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, and was the women’s ministry director at Council Road Baptist Church in Bethany, Oklahoma. Shelly Melia

Shelly Melia

Shelly Melia serves as the associate dean of the Graduate School of Ministry, assistant professor of Childhood Education, and program director of the Master of Arts in Children’s Ministry and Family Ministry program at Dallas Baptist University. Prior to her academic career, she served in churches in Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas. Most recently, Shelly served as a minister to young families for 18 years at First Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas. She is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and B.H. Carroll Theological Institute. In addition, she is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas, specializing in grief and trauma. Shelly is a proud mother of three children, ages 13, 16, and 18. [more]


Sam Rainer

Sam Rainer

Sam Rainer serves as the president of Rainer Research and as co-founder of Rainer Publishing. He is also the lead pastor at West Bradenton Church in Bradenton, Florida. He earned a bachelor of science in finance and marketing degree from the University of South Carolina and a master of arts in missiology degree from Southern Seminary. Sam has authored the book, Obstacles in the Established Church, and co-authored the book, Essential Church. Along with frequently speaking at conferences, Sam is currently studying for a Ph.D. in leadership studies at Dallas Baptist University, and he maintains a blog, samrainer.com. [more]

Ike Reighard served as the interim pastor at Piedmont Church starting in January 2006, and has served as the senior pastor since February 2007. Prior to Piedmont, he was the founding pastor of NorthStar Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, and has served as lead/senior pastor at additional churches in the Atlanta area. Ike was the chief people officer of Homebanc Mortgage in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, he has also authored several books. Ike is a magna cum laude graduate of Mercer University, with a bachelor of arts degree in religion. He earned his master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees from Luther Rice Seminary.
